Our AIM

Envisioned technology based on electrocatalytic conversion in a single step within a co-ionic membrane reactor using selective multi-functional catalysts to produce the target hydrocarbon distribution

Challenge

The European Union has set a roadmap for:

1. A transition towards a low carbon energy system that states severe targets for GHG emissions reduction (-20% by 2020, -40% by 2030 and -80/95% by 2050, compared to 1990 levels).

2. Increase in share of renewable energy (20% by 2020, 32.5% by 2030 and around 75% by 2050).

Solutions

• New and effective solution for the conversion of captured CO2 into carbon-neutral synthetic fuels using renewable electricity.

• The technology uses an innovative electrocatalytic co-ionic membrane reactor to conduct the conversion in:
- Single step
- High energy efficiency
- Unprecedented high CO2 conversion and product yield
